Back to music....

I've taken a huge liking to a group that I liked listening to on a compilation:  Zero 7. 

Really good chilling out tunes that are great to do some work to.

I've been busy working on various projects including papers for the technical writing course.  I never thought I'd enjoy technical writing, but I've found that I really have a good time learning how to communicate more effectively.  Didn't realize I had issues with this before.

Saw something truly amazing today -- there was footage on the TV of a rainbow taken from inside a helicopter.  Little did I know that rainbows were actually circular!!  It was unbelievable...like a floating hoop of color above the earth. 

I would love to witness beauty like this in person one day....

So many thoughts...so little time

I'm getting a bit irritated as I've been having some great thoughts lately, but haven't been able to note them before I get back to the computer.  I'm going to learn how to do voice memos on my phone as most of them occur when I'm driving.  Maybe because I listen to music that reminds me of things....gives me new thoughts about old memories, etc.

I've hired somebody professional to look at my resume for $199.  I thought it sounded nuts, but I'm desperate to get some fresh eyes on the thing.  I've been working on it for so long, it's hard for me to put any sort of new perspective on it.  Plus, I'm relatively new at "selling myself" to a potential employer.

I'm organizing a new business named, Stonehaven, L.L.C., to design my bead designs under. I'm looking forward to having time again to work on my creative talents: Painting, sculpting and designing jewelry.  It's been a long time since I've been able to make something with my own hands.

When I asked Amanda what person she would like to be if she could choose somebody from history--  I, of course, chose a pirate (or egyptian)-- but Amanda chose somebody totally unexpected .....

She said that she would have her picture on all the dollar bills around the world.  That's not a bad choice actually....I think everybody can think of that mug in their head?

New Picture

Woohoo!  New picture for me....I'm so psyched.  I've lost over 20 lbs. on Weight Watchers -- I can actually take pictures of myself again.

Also, notice the LARGE glasses I'm wearing.  I thought only my mother would be stupid enough to wear these.  :-)

Life is strange

Have you ever had a day, where you wonder what your life would be like if you had made different decisions?  I know I am happy, but I know my life would probably be filled with happiness--but of a different type.  There are days that I wish I could go back to being crazy and running around.  The bar life all over again.  I used to have alot of fun, but now I'm almost done with all of my work...degree is coming in August.  I need a break to have some fun.  I'm planning a trip to New Orleans to take some photos and enjoy the scenery.  The break will be well worth it and I'll be able to spend time with Amanda and my mother. Only 7 more days....

Excited!

My life will return to normality in about 2 weeks!  I can't wait.  I want to lay in the sun, work out, take care of myself....spend time with my daughter and HAVE FUN!  I need this break so bad to rest up for these 2 summer classes.  Then I graduate!  What a scary thought...

Fantastic day

I'm having a fantastic day today.  Just returned from the pool, making the kids PB&J sandwiches.  Then, I'm going to turn on a movie and relax.  Work on a website later and study for Accounting exam.  I love it here!(I must really live a boring life.....*sigh*)

Friday!

I love Fridays...it's sunny outside and today, I will get a well-deserved break.  Accounting quiz this morning and a test on Monday, plus 2 websites to work on.  Always busy around here!

Getting Back to Normal

Well, I'm up late again tonight.  Thought I was going to get organized for school, but got some work done on billing for Global.  I'm happy that school will be over this Summer.  I really miss having the free time to pick up a book...or spend time with my daughter to read.  It will all be over soon, then I'll be a working woman like everybody else.  It is quite scary to think about the change at first.  I just hope I can settle in with a firm that will really be ideal for my personality.  That might be interesting....

What I long for

A cup of tea...good music.  Some good candle burning.  A massage...a nice wheat beer with lemon.  Sitting on a deck listening to some Dave Matthews.  Live flower growing wild. Sunshine, balmy weather. Butterflies in the stomach.  Feeling healthy.
